The sky was covered in feathery clouds, which were releasing flurries of snowflakes of many shapes and sizes.  The air was pure and the perfect temperature for flying.

Saito sped through the cold, so fast, he seemed invisible to the naked eye.  It had been two days since the blizzard where he and his new friend, Kirby, had said goodbye.  Though Saito knew it was Kirby's decision to leave, he felt a pang of regret pound on his stomach like a drum, especially since that cappy girl has been in despair ever since she woke up to an empty bed.  Saito hid himself around the cappys,so he never talked to anyone except for Kirby's canary companion, Tokori.  Still, Saito felt lonely to have no one to talk to or share stories with like he did with Kirby.  Saito flew into a cloud and circled a larger one that looked like some kind of fish and swooped down onto a tree to look at his surroundings.  Snow covered every area and powdered the trees like a tree-shapped doughnut. A feeling of worry swept over him.

"Maybe I shouldn't have let him go..."  Saito said to himself as he gazed at a looming castle in the distance,"Maybe.....I should see how SHE'S taking it...yeah!"

With every bit of energy he had, he launched himself into the direction of Castle Dedede.  The landscape slipped away behind him as he approached the enormous fort in a split second.  He fluttered over to a balcony and peered in to the cappy girl's house.  No one was home.

"Nice..."  Saito said, a dirty thought flowing through his mind.

Saito plucked a single, stiff feather and picked the lock.  The door swung open softly and he was able to slip inside with ease.  He looked around the room.  A TV stood on another side of a large sofa and a kitchen lay on the other side of it.  Saito surveyed the area for any sign of any cappy.  No one was home.  Not even the girl.

Sighing, Saito turned to face the door and felt his tail twitch.  He turned around and saw a branching hallway, which looked suspicious to him.

He tip toed through the hall and pressed his ear to the nearest door.  When he heard no sounds, he slowly opened the door and peeked inside.

To Saito's amazement, specimens of different insects, shells, and other once-living things were framed on the walls around him.  He walked over to a table and saw a small chemestry set sitting neatly on the table.  He looked around the table, hoping to find something worth finding; instead, he found an odd test tube holding a red liquid inside.

"Funny....this kind of looks like.."

Saito gasped and abruptly dropped the test tube.  He panicked and watched as it bounced on the ground.  The liquid was blood, he knew it was true.  He had seen much bloodshed in his life and the sight of the liquid brought it all back.  As if from magic, the test tube stayed in one piece and the evil red liquid was still trapped inside.

Saito cleared his head and watched as the test tube rolled across the room and thumped next to a bed.  He cautiously walked over and picked up the test tube and noticed a journal poking out of the pillow.

Saito smirked,"Her diary...."

Without hesitation, Saito picked up the diary and flipped the pages to the most recent entry.  Saito held the tube in his hand while reading the entry.

I curse this day
This morning, I found myself awoken to Meta Knight's call.  He said that Kirby's house was destroyed by something.....sinister.  I ran to the location of Kirby's house, but we found nothing....all except a shroud of black dust.  Tokori said that Kirby ran off towards Kabu in a hurry, not explaining WHY he wanted to.
When Tokori was finished, I saw a yellow creature fly off towards  Whispy Wood's forest and I began to become suspicious.  It was too big to be a bird and from all my research on the class Aves, I have come to a conclusion that there is no bird that can be that big.  I also saw a flash of dark light appear near Kabu and I became worried about Kirby.  I ran off in a hurry and ignored Tuff, who tried to stop me.

Saito underlined the part that talked about him and scanned the rest of the entry and dropped the journal with shock at the last sentences in the diary.

That monster....I call him...or it, Demon Kirby.  It was as evil and strong as Devil Kirby, a monster formed from the Devil Frog possesing Kirby.  As Kirby fell, I ran to him, only to find he was far gone.

We took him to Dr.Yabooi, but he said that Demon Kirby had managed to "kill" all of Kirby's abilities, leaving him helpless.  No inhale, no copy abilities.  I ran to the statue and took samples of Kirby's blood and the dust from the dark aura that surrounded Demon Kirby.  Perhaps they have something in common, but I highly doubt it.

"WHO ARE YOU!?"

Saito spun around to be face to face with the cappy girl he was looking for.  Her face of pure rage bore through Saito's head.

"Uh...uh....s-sorry!  Didn't mean to.."

"Is that my DIARY?!"

Saito began to sweat bullets,"Uh....I don't know.  Is it?"

She stomped forward,"YOU'RE LYING!!"

Suddenly, a surge of pain ripped through Saito's body, causing his legs to give away like quick sand.  The girl's face began to melt into sympathy.

"Are you...alri..."

The yellow puff began to back away," Stay away! I'm sorry!"

With every bit of energy, the puff flung himself out of the window and in the direction of the forest known as whispy woods.

"W-wait!  Come back!  I didn't mean to..."

Before she could finish, the puff was already gone.  She looked towards her bed and picked up the diary.  The most recent entry was bookmarked and the words describing the creature she found the day that monster, Demon Kirby appearered.  She picked up the vial of Kirby's blood and placed it on the table next to the black dust.  She stared out the window towards the forest that puff flew towards.

"Could he be....that creature?"

She quickly grabbed her backpack and ran out towards the castle, past her familly.

Her mother, Lady Like, called out to her,"Tiff! Where are you going?"

"On a walk, I got something to find!"  She replied.

Was that puff, related to Kirby somehow?  Did Kirby know him?  Why was he in her room?  These questions swirled in Tiff's head as she ran towards Whispy Wood's forest.
A nice little goodbye present for you all!

In this chapter, Saito does a little snooping inside the Ebrum home and finds something truely terrifying!

If you have questions for WHY Saito was feeling that kind of pain, please ask me!

Is Saito scared of blood or does it just disturbs him a lot?
